We took Paris to her favorite
burger establishment tonight.
She enjoyed about half of a cheeseburger.
I told her she should savor every
morsel as she would be dining in for awhile.

This evening the puppies are
very active. They feel like they
are doing cartwheels in there!

Vet visit went well. Everythings looks great!
All the puppies look to be consistent in size.
I can't wait to reveal the number tomorrow
morning! Paris weighed 10 pounds more than
4 weeks ago.

An empty whelping box looks huge!
It is 4 x 6 feet. Lots of room for mama
and babies.
X-ray this morning. How many will we see??

All is ready. The box is scrubbed clean
and set up (in the middle of everything).
Paris "helped" Mike with the installation.
Now we wait...

The final week. It's hard to believe that
we only have a couple days to wait.
Paris is feeling great.

ferns and ivy. No dog noses allowed!

Paris enjoying the last days of freedom!

She is standing under herself in the rear.
It's probably more comfortable. The dog barking
in the distance is not mine. : )
On walks she is still trotting happily with an
ever wagging tail.

One week!!! Just one week to go!
New rick rack is purchased (to identify puppies).
The whelping box will be scrubbed and set
up this weekend. I'm working my way down the
ready-for-whelping checklist.

A mani-pedi (foot hair trimming and
nail trimming with a dremel), and
a "haircut" (ear trim).

Good morning! It's hard to believe only
eight days to go. Paris is getting bigger,
slowing down a bit, napping more.
The puppies are very active! It's
a joy to feel them moving around.
I'll try to get some new photos today.

Paris had a little bit of trouble "hopping"
up on the bed this morning. She is getting big.
The countdown goes to single digits. 9 days to go!

I bought a new digital thermometer.
I'll start taking Paris' temperature twice a day
(morning and night). For those asking why:
a significant drop in temperature usually
signals labor coming within 24 hours.

Time for breakfast again! : )
Paris thinks any time is a good time for a meal!

walked away and called her. She is still pretty fast with
an ever-growing belly.
